FROM THE OLD ST. BEGHIANS' GOLFING SOCIETY SECRETARY:

After many years, the time came at the start of 2011 to update our logo. For the last 20/30 years our unofficial emblem has been the bee, but as we move forward we need a logo that better represents our society. The bishop’s mitre is something that has been associated with sports’ colours at St Bees for many years, so it seems fitting to adopt this as our new logo. As well as updating the letterhead, we’ve also had a range of ties and sweaters produced.

                * The ties are 100% silk navy blue and are available for £15 (+ £2.50 pp).
              * The sweaters are Glenmuir branded navy blue. They have Glenmuir embroided on the upper arm & the bishop’s mitre           embroidered on the breast. I have stock of medium, large and extra large, although other sizes are available on request.           They are £45 (plus £5 p&p).
              * You can purchase a sweater and tie for £65 (including p&p).
Please make cheques payable to the ‘Old St Beghians Golfing Society’.
I will bring a selection to all this year’s OSB events.
Please see the Society website at: http://st-beghian-society.co.uk/Golf.htm, under the ‘OSBGS Shop’ section for photos of items and further details.
If anyone would like to play in either/both the following events, please advise me as soon as possible: James.doggett@hotmail.co.uk or tel 0793 051 0086.
